Duties and Responsibilities

Data Management

  • Capture and scan consent and follow-up forms from VMMC sites.
  • Record consent forms onto VMMC registers.
  • Ensure data accuracy and identify quality errors.
  • Manage VMMC booking registers.
  • Submit daily error reports to relevant program staff.

Quality Assurance

  • Verify completeness of consent and follow-up forms.
  • Verify accuracy of information against source documents.
  • Manage follow-ups of queried documents.
  • Screen potential clients for circumcision eligibility.

Reporting

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly statistics from VMMC sites.
  • Compile standardized weekly status reports.
  • Follow up and schedule leads accurately.
  • Assist in data verification before reporting.

Program Output

  • Report vehicle incidents and complete incident reports.
  • Provide assistance following Batho Pele and Patients Rights Charter principles.
  • Ensure HIV-positive clients are linked to care and treatment.
  • Manage stock and suppliers and report missing or broken items.
  • Obtain informed consent from clients based on NDoH and PEPFAR guidelines.
  • Conduct counseling sessions and screenings for STIs and TB.

Business Continuity

  • Fill in for other counselors when required.
  • Assist in collection and delivery of clients.
  • Familiarize yourself with health regulations and Right to Care standards.

Job Requirements

  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Basic Computer Literacy
  • Valid South African driver’s license
  • Additional qualifications in Office Administration desirable.
  • Minimum one-year clerical experience and basic HIV knowledge.
  • Two to three years clerical experience and basic VMMC knowledge.
